What are my responsibilities as a member?

As a member of the SCS Standards Forum, you make an active contribution to the further development of SCS standards. You decide for yourself to what extent you want to get involved.
The possible tasks and areas of involvement include

Participation in the development and further development of standards, guidelines and best practices

Depending on the membership model, you participate in voting on resolutions, content and strategic direction of the forum

Active participation in discussions, workshops and events by contributing specialist expertise

Evaluation of drafts and active co-design through constructive feedback

Sharing experiences, findings and practical examples within the network

Participation in meetings, conferences or topic-specific formats
Collaboration is flexible and orientated towards your interests and resources. Depending on your role and membership, you also bear responsibility in decision-making processes and actively shape the development of the forum.

With your membership in the SCS Standards forum as a Designer, consultant or Sponsor you actively support the work on the central topic of the future Digital sovereignty.

Together, we drive the exchange and transparent further development of SCS standards - and you are right in the middle of it.

As a designer, you take on a particularly active role and are directly involved in decisions.

What happens after that?

After the first twelve months, you can switch to another level: SCS Advisor or SCS Designer - depending on how intensively you would like to get involved in the future. Of course, you can also remain a member as a supporter.

No matter which model you choose: You will be part of a strong network and play an active role in shaping the future of digital standards.

How to become a member

The SCS Standards Forum is part of the Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA).
Membership of the OSBA is therefore required in order to become a member of the forum.

The admission process is straightforward and usually only takes a few days.
