Forum SCS-Standards

About the Forum SCS-Standards

Since 1 January 2025, the development and quality assurance of the Sovereign Cloud Stack has been handled by the newly founded Forum SCS-Standards within the Open Source Business Alliance (OSBA). This forum was established to secure and further develop the results of the SCS project funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) in the long term.

 Tasks of the forum:

  • Continuous development of SCS standards.
  • Define, openly document and continuously develop certification programmes.
  • Carrying out certifications to ensure high quality standards.
  • Promoting exchange and cooperation – through regular meetings, open discussion formats and active community participation in the further development of SCS standards.
  • Actively support the open source community around the SCS standards to promote innovation, exchange and joint growth.
  • Manage the „Sovereign Cloud Stack / SCS“ brand responsibly and ensure that only certified offerings are permitted to use it.
