SCS Compliance Monitor
View SCS compliance in real time
The SCS Compliance Monitor shows in real time whether a cloud service actually meets the SCS standards – publicly, transparently and accessible at any time.
What the monitor shows
The Compliance Monitor is the public display platform for automated SCS compliance tests. Every certified provider undergoes a regular series of tests, the signed results of which are fed directly into the Monitor. The status of a service is therefore not a one-off snapshot, but is continuously updated and indicated by colour: Green indicates a test that has currently been passed, Red an outstanding non-conformity.
The Monitor distinguishes between two categories: Certified offers have completed the full SCS certification process. Compatibility-tested offerings have passed the technical tests of the compliance check pipeline, without having been formally certified as yet. Both statuses can be tracked in real time – the difference lies in whether the formal certification process has also been completed.
How to use the monitor
How to check a provider
Whether you choose an SCS-compatible service or continue to monitor an existing one: in the Monitor, you’ll find the current compliance status for every listed provider and – where available – an additional link to the health monitoring for that service.
How to become part of the Monitor
As a provider, you register your offering as a test subject in the Compliance Check Pipeline. Every successful test run is signed and automatically sent to the Monitor – your status will then appear live on the Monitor website. You can find details of the process in the Compliance Check Pipeline Manual.
An overview of all our offers
An initial overview of all SCS-compatible services: the slider provides an overview of certified and tested compatible providers. You can find detailed information on the current compliance status directly on the relevant service page – there, we provide a link to the corresponding entry in the Compliance Monitor.
Proof, not promises
For purchasers and contracting authorities, this is more than just a technical detail: a certificate alone ties the assessment to a single point in time. The Monitor, on the other hand, makes the SCS compliance of a tender continuously verifiable – as an additional, verifiable criterion in procurement decisions, tendering processes and throughout the entire contract period.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often is the data updated?
Compliance tests run automatically at regular intervals; each new signed report replaces the previous status in the monitor.
What exactly does a ‘red’ status mean?
A red status indicates that the most recent test run detected a deviation from at least one SCS standard. Further details can be found in the linked test report.
Can I use the monitor as evidence in a tender?
The monitor does not replace formal certification, but supplements it with verifiable evidence of ongoing compliance.
How can I include my own listing on the Monitor?
For information on registering as a test subject in the Compliance Check Pipeline – see section „How to use the Monitor“ or the Pipeline Manual.
Who is responsible for the Compliance Monitor?
The Compliance Monitor is operated as an open-source infrastructure as part of the Sovereign Cloud Stack project and is being further developed by the SCS community.
